About

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to check out my crochet patterns.

My name is Pamela and I live with my family in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.  I love the outdoors and spend as much time outside as possible so feeling cozy and comfortable is a must.

I have been crocheting for over 25 years.  I started crocheting in my 20s and have been doing it ever since.  I started by learning a few basic stitches and making up my own hat patterns.  Eventually, I learned how to read patterns and now design all of my own crochet patterns.

When I was pregnant with my son I started crocheting baby booties.  Not only was I able to create unique items for my own child but it was also a great skill to have when I started attending countless baby showers.  I love giving unique baby gifts, they are always well received and I know people don't have the item because I made it myself!

Crocheting for me has many benefits.  As someone who just can't sit still, it allows me to relax while being productive and staying busy.  I also spend a lot of time commuting to work and was tired of being just another person on the bus glued to my cell phone.  Crocheting is something that you can do anywhere, anytime, especially during those long commutes.  I love that I can crochet while still interacting with the world, being present, and being aware of my surroundings.   A perfect example of this happened to me at the swimming pool.  I took my son to the pool for his swimming lesson.  While sitting with the other parents I took out my crocheting.  During that 30- minute lesson, I was able to crotchet, watch my son learn to swim, and chat with other parents.  You wouldn't believe what a conversation starter crocheting is.  I hope you enjoy these free patterns.
