STEP 1 (Piece 1)
Grab a ruler and measure 310 inches of yarn. The easiest way to do this is to measure 10 inches at a time (31 times). DO NOT CUT THE END but create a slip knot at the end of 310 inches, insert your hook into the knot and pull tight. If you need help with this step check out the free video.

STEP 2 (Piece 1)
For step two you are using the 310 inches of yarn that you measured out at the beginning.
Working in your original chain, insert your hook in the first chain, yarn over and pull through the chain. You now have one loop on your hook and are ready to start row 1. STEP 4 (Piece 2)
For Step 4 you are using the 80 inches of yarn that you measured out at the beginning.
Working in your original chain, insert your hook in the first chain, yarn over and pull through the chain. You now have one loop on your hook and are ready to start row 1. For row 1 you are working in your original chain. Start in the first chain, which is the same chain you just used to pull up a loop.

Total = 12
Note: On this side, we immediately start our decrease after completing row 1.
Rows 2-8
repeat rows 13-19 from Step 3 above.
STEP 5
The last step is sewing the two pieces together:
Take piece 1 (foot) and cross the ends over each other at a 45 degree angle.
Take these ends and line them up with an end of piece 2 (sole). Use a stitch marker to hold the two pieces together (you will have three layer).
Continue to line up the sides of piece 1 (foot) with the sides of piece 2 (sole). Use stitch markers to hold the sides in place.
Using your yarn and a darning needle sew the side of the bootie to attach piece 1 (foot) to piece 2 (sole).
Turn the bootie right side out.
If you need help sewing the baby booties together check out the free video.
Note: Once you are done sewing the baby bootie together you turn it right side out, so remember this when attaching your sole. What side did you weave your ends into? You want this side on the inside of your booties.
